FASHION & TEXTURES

Fashion & Textures by Latinamerican Designers

FASHION & TEXTURES, PLATFORM THAT SEEKS TO POTENTIALIZE AND INTERNATIONALIZE THE LATINAMERICAN DESIGN AT A GLOBAL LEVEL
Fashion & Textures is a Pop Up Shop that takes place in Cosentino City Miami,  located in Design District, on May 9th, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, in order to empower talent, culture and Latin American design through the showroom platform that the spanish company Cosentino offers; This pop up seeks to educate Latin American designers and artists on how to open and position themselves in other countries and seeks to generate visibility of emerging talent internationally. One of our special guests for this event is Eva Hughes, board advisor of the Istituto Marangoni and ex former director and CEO of vogue Latam and Conde Nast, as host and mentor, We also have the presence of Andrea Minski, tv host and influencer, which will moderate the panel on the importance of Latin America design and how to reach new markets. Passionate about design and aware of the talent in Latin America, two women joined to give international visibility to designers in new markets. Carolina Almeida- Architect and Manager of Cosentino Miami and Vanessa Arcila- Designer and Founder of TAO Company Jewelry created fashion & textures with the idea to have a space where designers learned and also get to showcase their unique and exquisite creations to the public.
In Fashion and Textures, you will find all kinds of design proposals made in Latin America: Clothes, jewelry, and accessories where this promising platform seeks to give each designer a projection in the international market.
With the support of Cosentino, the leading Spanish company in the design of innovative surfaces in the world of architecture, Fashion & Texturesreachesthe main markets of the fashion world, such as Miami, New York, Los Angeles, Madrid, Milan, London among other important cities where Cosentino has presence.
Miami is not only the Latin capital in North America but also the port of entry of the world to the United States, a reason that makes this the perfect city for the launch of this first Pop Up Shop. For the organizers, design is a way of expression that conveys meanings and emotions, represents a story that is carried and becomes tangible.
Social impact is very important and valuable for the team. This is why all the designers and organizers got together to support a children's foundation called NU3 where each designer and visitor to the event held in Cosentino will be contributing to this foundation through fashion & textures.
